Polyimide (Kapton)heater

Polyimide (Kapton®) is an organic polymer with very high dielectric capability, thin profile and low thermal mass, while providing superior resistance to most solvents, oils, and radiation. In connection with these features, kapton heaters are very ideal for applications:

with space and weight limitation
the heater will be exposed to chemical or oil
in vacuum environments due to low outgassing
fast and precise heating


Complicated heating profiles (e.g. multi-zone heater) for lasers and precision instruments can be easily realized.


Being transparent, Kapton® film also allows easy visual inspection on the internal structures. Pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing surface is standard, but special adhesives or mounting holes can be customized per customer requirement. Special cord and plug sets available.
