water cooling and air cooling
Fullchance provides a full range of hot‑stage sample heaters for all deposition system applications. An important feature offered by Fullchance in our heater
stages is water cooling, which
has many advantages, including:
• Integration with customer systems
• Specified pressure and flow rates to ensure adequate cooling
• Compatibility with all heater types, including rotating heater heads
• Operation with sample biasing
• Cooled power feedthroughs to allow higher current
• Reduced thermal load on chambers and other equipment

Water‑cooled heaters can be mounted in any orientation and are compatible with our full range of manipulators and offset systems. Fullchance also
provides our water‑cooled stages for chillers as required.
If rapid sample cooling is needed, Fullchance offers a gas‑cooling option. Inert gas flows over the sample for fast cooling, thus reducing processing time.
We work with customers to supply suitable valves and fittings for your application.
The graph presents actual data for a heated edge heater stage with gas cooling. The red line shows the stage cooling curve with no gas flow. The blue
line represents the gas‑cooling profile. With gas flowing, the heater takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds to reach the safe venting temperature (300 °C for
this stage). Without gas flow, this process takes approximately 20 minutes.
