Etched‑foil elements deliver excellent heat transfer and exceptionally uniform heat output, enabling faster warm‑up cycles and extended service life. This heater provides uniform heating for large flat or slightly curved surfaces. Polyester material is UL‑recognized for applications up to a surface temperature of 105 °C (221 °F).
Etched‑foil polyester heaters can be designed and manufactured in various configurations to meet the size and shape requirements of your application.
Due to resistance limits of foil materials, foil becomes less cost‑competitive compared with wire‑wound elements as circuit dimensions increase.
Given specified voltage, wattage and resistance, our designers calculate designs with custom‑developed CAD programs.

Wire‑Wound
Polyester film heaters have a maximum operating temperature of 105 °C (221 °F). They are used for uniform heating of large flat or gently curved surfaces. Polyester film heaters can be produced in multiple configurations to satisfy your application’s size and shape requirements.
Reliable Heating Elements
At the Hi‑Heat production facility, fine nichrome wire is helically wound onto a central fiberglass twine core to create robust, flexible elements. Our proprietary winding equipment is electronically controlled to guarantee consistency. Post‑production inspections ensure quality and accuracy.
Circuits are manually wound onto tool patterns customized for target resistance. Parallel circuits are adopted wherever possible to maintain operation even if one circuit fails.
Precision‑wound elements are then sandwiched between two polyester layers. Vulcanization permanently encapsulates the wires.
