PET Metal Heating Film
PET metal heating film (etched‑foil PET heating film) is a planar flexible heating element. Its heating circuit is manufactured by metal etching process. The precision metal resistive heating foil is hot‑press laminated and fully encapsulated between two layers of PET polyester insulating films.
Different from screen‑printed carbon‑paste heating films, the etched‑metal circuit features stable and consistent resistance for superior heating uniformity. The finished part is 0.15‑0.25 mm thick, ultra‑thin and flexible. It can be cut into squares, rounds, rings and various special shapes. Cut‑outs and avoidance openings are supported. Lead‑wire and electrode positions can be adjusted upon request. Suited for confined inner‑equipment space, it can be mounted on flat surfaces as well as gentle curved surfaces.
It has low thermal inertia and fast temperature‑rising speed. Uniform surface temperature is achieved with surface temperature deviation controlled within ＜3 ℃, effectively preventing local hot‑spots. The PET substrate provides excellent electrical insulation: withstands AC 1500 V / 1 min without breakdown, insulation resistance ≥5 MΩ, flame‑free operation and high safety rating. Low‑moisture‑absorption and stable physical‑chemical properties ensure resistance to open‑circuit failure after repeated mild bending, ideal for long‑term continuous low‑temperature
constant‑temperature operation.
Reserved mounting positions for NTC thermistors are available to realize precise closed‑loop temperature control together with temperature‑control boards. Versions with pressure‑sensitive adhesive backing are optional for convenient bonding installation.
Widely used in medical equipment, analytical instruments, laboratory constant‑temperature modules, household heating components and other low‑temperature heating applications. Custom power, voltage and dimensions are acceptable per customer drawings and specifications.
