Overview
Clearview transparent heating elements are an optically clear variation of our wire wound heater that provides superior light transfer with higher durability than comparable technologies. 
The wire wound design brings high heating efficiency and quick thermal response with minimal power consumption. This makes Clearview ideal for applications such as computers, battery powered hand scanners, and touch screens.
Optically clear heaters are typically used in applications that require a high degree of light transmission. Clearviews ultra-fine wire construction gives high optical clarity and ensures optimal light transmission for scanning and imaging applications.
Clearview provides controlled, direct heat to displays, lenses and clear panels, allowing continuous high definition operation of device monitors in low temperature environments. Abstract
We demonstrate a new concept for the fabrication of flexible transparent thin film heaters based on silver nanowires. Thanks to the intrinsic properties of random networks of metallic nanowires, it is possible to combine bendability, transparency and high heating performances at low voltage, typically below 12 V which is of interest for many applications. This is currently not possible with transparent conductive oxide technologies, and it compares well with similar devices fabricated with carbon nanotubes or graphene. We present experiments on glass and poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) substrates (with thicknesses of 125 μm and extremely thin 1.3 μm) with excellent heating performances. We point out that the amount of silver necessary to realize the transparent heaters is very low and we also present preliminary results showing that this material can be efficiently used to fabricate photochromic displays. To our knowledge, this is the first report of metallic nanowire-based transparent thin film heaters. We think these results could be a useful approach for the engineering of highly flexible and transparent heaters which are not attainable by existing processes.

Optical transparent heater
 Fullchance’s Transparent Heaters for the defrosting and maintaining LCD displays at optimum operating temperatures for screen response or the defrosting and maintaining windows from moisture. Fullchance has developed a clear transparent heater circuit with a rugged busbar termination that can incorporated with our range of contrast enhancement and EMI shielded filters.
Specification: The Fullchance Transparent Heaters are either unlaminated or fully laminated glass filters with an Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coating of 12 ohms/sq. This is an optimum coating density to provide excellent heating performance with good optical clarity compared to the highly reflective thin resistive wires typically used to provide heat.
 
Extensive testing and military qualification has proved the Fullchance transparent heater to maintain a LCD at 20C with an outside temperature of -50C and 3’C/minute temperature gradient.
Termination Method: Highly rugged proprietary insulated busbar and wire termination along two opposing edges.
